Used and For Sale at The Firearm Files we have an early 1900's Koishikawa Arsenal Siamese Mauser rifle in 8x50R. This rifle we estimate to be built around 1903-1908. The model is the type 46, with the Dust/Action cover, and stock compartment for a cleaning kit. The receiver has the Chakra Crest and 4 cannon balls stamped. This gun was made in Japan, designed as a Military rifle for Siam, or Thailand in the early 1900's. The bore is in good condition, showing strong lands and grooves. There are no cracks in the stock that we can find, there are dents, dings, and scratches in the stock. We rate this rifle at 97%, it is all original finish and bluing.
