This rifle is the Sporting Carbine model, with a 20 inch barrel, and we determined it was built in 1964 based on the Serial Number, L15560. This gun has a Williams Rear Peep Sight on the receiver and features a side loading gate and side ejection.

Sellers Notes on Condition: This rifle is in Good condition. All finish is original on the stock, and the bluing appears to be original. The mag tube has a slightly brown tone to the bluing. The for-arm is slightly loose, and wiggles little, very minor but worth noting. The butt plate has the Marlin name, and is all original. The barrel shows signs of the start to minor pitting in areas under critical attention, there is also some bluing loss near the muzzle and front sight. The stock does not appear to be cracked or really have many marks, look at the pictures for a better judgement on condition. The bore looks perfect, clean, with excellent lands and grooves. Overall this gun makes a very nice shooter and collectors piece, we rate it at 95%.
