For Sale at The Firearm Files we have a Used Savage model 40 rifle in .22 Hornet. This rifle is a more rare gun to find, a single shot Bolt Action rifle, with a wood Laminate stock. The receiver has Weaver bases so although there are no open sights, you can mount a scope as necessary. The barrel is a heavy 24", designed for competitive shooters or varmint hunting. The 22 Hornet caliber is very hard to find in these rifles!
Sellers Condition Notes: We would rate this gun at 98% for condition, it is in great condition. The stock is original, with the original finish, and there are no visible cracks. There are 2 small blemishes/scratches in the stock as pictured. The bluing is all original, and seems to be in very good condition. There are oil marks on the barrel, and near the manufacturer a small finish mark in the bluing as pictured. Look at the pictures, to see the up close details. The bore is excellent with strong lands and grooves, it looks to have been fired a few rounds!
