Smith & Wesson built different variations of the model 10-5, in various barrel lengths, and the Snub Nose was designed for Personal Protection, and adopted by many police departments as a Detectives Gun. This was an easy gun to conceal in a holster, and extremely reliable. The short 2" barrel gives the shooter a close quarters revolver that could be used for room clearing and very popular with Police departments Detectives Units in New York City, and other cities alike.

Sellers Notes: This gun is in Excellent condition, and has all the original Blued finish and Original Grips. We rate this gun at 96%, there is some small bluing loss at the muzzle on each side of the barrel, the grips have some small dings here and there, they are old! Under the trigger guard there is some bluing wear, the gun is not perfect! This would make for a great collectors piece, for a guy that wants to also shoot it. It is not museum perfect, this gun however has no rust or pitting we can find. The hammer and trigger are case hardened steel. Inside the crane it is stamped Mod. 10-5. The bore is great condition, rifling is strong and visible.
