For Sale at The Firearm Files we have a Custom Built Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Rifle! This rifle setup is ideal for Varmint Hunting, we built this gun to be a 400 yard rifle, we shot about 3" groupings at 300 yards. For the build, we used a Smith & Wesson M&P 15, with a 16" cold hammer forged barrel. The barrel is a 1 in 9 inch twist, for accuracy testing we used 55gr FMJ and it seemed to like them. You could dial this gun in more, by hand loading or testing other grains. We tested around 500 rounds through the gun, and are selling this as a used gun. The gun is in excellent condition, and all parts as well!
Custom Build Notes: For this build we used the M&P 15 rifle which is a multi cal, 5.56 and 223 Rem. We then installed a Bravo Company low profile gas block, and a Troy Alpha Rail free floated rail. We used a Harris SBR 6-9" Bipod, and a Bipod adapter for Picatinny rail attachment. We installed a handstop on the bottom of the rail as well. For the grip and stock we used Magpul accessories. The stock is the Magpul ACS stock, setup for the Milspec buffer tube. On the end of the barrel we installed and tuned a Muzzle Brake, this gun has zero recoil, but it is louder than some AR15's. We then installed a Gisele 2 Stage Flat Face Trigger, that is around 2 1/2 lbs pull in total. The trigger makes the biggest difference on this gun! For the optic, we went with a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x40mm Scope, with a 1" cantilever scope mount and a Butler Creek cover on the front of the glass for protection. This rifle will shoot sub MOA accurate groups at 100 yards! In total, all the parts and our Gunsmithing work, this rifle we value at $3159.99.
