The Honey Badger by Q. Though it bears a resemblance to the original, Q has refined every aspect of the iconic design, elevating it to HB 2.0 status. From the gas system to the trigger, and now featuring a telescoping pistol brace, the Honey Badger 2.0 sets a new standard in performance and innovation. The 10-inch 5.56 NATO Honey Badger now comes equipped with the exclusive Pistol Stabilizing Brace, a collaboration between Q and SB Tactical.
Originally conceived at AAC by previous owner and Q Founder, Kevin Brittingham, along with his R&D team, the Honey Badger emerged in response to a request from a specialized US military unit seeking a modern alternative to their MP5-SD. Key criteria included the capacity to fire a rifle caliber round while maintaining a low profile and exceptional signature suppression. Developed alongside the 300 AAC Blackout cartridge, the Honey Badger surpassed expectations but remained exclusive to military use, never entering the commercial market.
Custom Build Notes: For this build we had a customer request for a Q Honey Badger Pistol in 5.56mm NATO, with the 10" barrel. He then added the Huxwrk Flow 556 FDE Suppressor and Flash Hider, and for his primary optic selected the Eotech EXPS3-4 with a 3X Magnifier. For a backup optic he selected a Holosun 508T Green with Solar Power and has that mounted on a 45 degree Vortex mount. For the Flash Light we used a Surefire Mini Scout LED Light with the Surefire optional pressure switch tail cap. The switch is mounted towards the center of the MLOK Rail, and in front of that he is running the Holosun IRIS Green IR Laser. This build was all centered about a gun that will have penetration, but also that is lightweight and suited as a Battel Rifle for Close Quarters.
